Sarah Cartlidge
Sarah Cartlidge is showing her 'Sacred Pathways' at Studio Zero.
“Through mixed media pieces my work documents my experience of walking and mindfulness. Sacred Pathways focuses upon the sense of awe that can be found from spending time in nature. My process begins with drawing and noticing things that are usually overlooked.”
Sarah’s practice is process led. Ideas and concepts are expressed through an exploration of form, colour and composition.
Sacred Pathways explores ways to make work that represents direct experiences alongside indirect reflections. Sarah applied the pilgrim principles of resting, reflecting, and receiving to her daily walks.
Sarah’s work is an expression of the majestic beauty experienced in both the inner emotional human world and the outer physical natural world.
‘The point of travelling is not to arrive but to return home laden with pollen you shall work up into honey the mind feeds on’
